Campmaster 262-1670 Dave Thompson  Committee Chair 261-3514   ____________________________   Troop 60 to Camp Geiger 2008 Date:   Sunday, June 29, 2008 Time:  12:30 pm Place:  Savannah Scout Cabin, 14th & Main                       What to Wear:           Swim trunks, shoes, shirt (have towel)                        What to Bring:           Medical Form (if not already turned in)                                                  Medications (in original container) in ziplock bag with name                                                  Completed camper release form(s), if Scout is going to leave camp                                                  Class A Scout uniform on hanger (hanger labeled with name)                                                  Class B (Red) shirts                                                  See list of gear (attached)                          Family Night:           Wednesday, July 2 at ~5:30 pm.  Location is determined after we go to                                                            camp.  Camp staff on entrance road will be able to direct you to Troop 60.  We                                                  will have a potluck  dinner.  Please bring 2 or 3 covered dishes and your own table                                                   service.  The Troop will provide drinks.  We will be recognizing Eagle Scout                                                  Austin Kirschner for his awarding of the Eagle Scout rank.  After supper there                                                   will be a Family Night campfire program in the new council ring.                      Tapping Ceremony:           Thursday, July 3 at ~8:30 pm in Tapping Valley.  This is the                                                    public portion of the ceremonies of the Tribe of Mic-O-Say (the honor camping                                                    society of Camp Geiger).  It is an impressive ceremony with braves and warriors                                                    dancing, large  tapping fire, members of the Tribe in costume, etc.                    Return to Savannah:           Saturday, July 5 at ~10:30 am to the Savannah Scout Cabin                    Special Note to Parents!!!    We will need several parents to stay in the campsite with                                                 Troop 60 Scouts while older Scouts and adults participate in Tribe of Mic-O-                                                   Say ceremonies.  This occurs on both Thursday and Friday nights, so we                                                   need adults both nights until ~ midnight.  Please confirm with Harold Kerns.   _________________________________ Tribesmen!!  Stay current, check the : Robidoux Dance District Schedule __________________________________
